Belum Rainforest Project - Ecoteer Responsible TravelEcoteer Responsible Travel

Discover and help Belum – Temenggor. Peninsular Malaysia’s most biodiverse rainforest!

Volunteer in Peninsular Malaysia’s premier rainforest

Belum – Temenggor is heaven on earth. It is a complex of several forests reserves and the Royal Belum State Park.  We work mainly in the Temenggor Forest Reserve and the Amanjaya Forest Reserve Wildlife Corridor collecting data on animal presence such as scratchings, pug marks and scat.  We provide the data to relevant parties.   Belum Temenggor has a very high density of elephants and large animals. It probably has the highest density of wild elephants in Malaysia.

If you don’t have the opportunity to volunteer but had always wanted to do something for a good cause, why not fundraise for these projects! Visit our Fundraising page for more info or write to us here

What Daniel Says

“After the successful implementation of our conservation project in Merapoh we have expanded to the other main wildlife corridor, the Amanjaya Wildlife Corridor in the Belum-Temenggor Forest Complex.  Providing extra protection in these two areas is vital if the rainforest dwelling animals of Peninsular Malaysia are too survive long term.  ”
