Day 2:Poacher Surveillance patrol & Departure

The rainforest is waiting for you, so today you will do a big 5 hour trek, guided by a guide. The tribal people are the aboriginal people of the Malay Peninsular or “Orang asli” meaning original people in Malay language. Although living in villages for the last decade, they are still very much a hunting and gathering people and can spend up to one month in the rainforest when t the hot season. having their concrete houses are too hot.  You will learn from our team not only about the animals and plants of the rainforest but also about these amazing people who still call the forests their home.

Your presence in the jungle will keep poachers at a distance. While the Batek show you the way, don’t forget to look down and search for pugmarks of wild boars, tapirs, Sun bears or even an elephant or tiger.
